- How does the 7-day free trial work?
- You enter your card, and the full calendar and the feed you subscribe to on your phone are unlocked straight away. Nothing is charged for the first 7 days. On day 8 the $10 monthly subscription starts automatically and renews each month until you cancel. The free trial is available once every 12 months.
- What if I cancel during the trial?
- You are not charged at all. Cancel any time in the first 7 days and the subscription never starts — your calendar stays on the Free plan and nothing is deleted.
- Will I know before the charge?
- Yes. We email you a reminder a few days before the trial ends, and the exact date of your first charge is shown on your Plan page from the moment the trial starts.
- Do both parents pay?
- Only one parent needs to pay. The paying parent runs the calendar, and the other parent is invited free to view it and approve or decline change requests. If that parent wants to build schedules, set holiday rules, upload documents, export reports, or use the phone calendar feed, they subscribe for $10 a month on their own account.
- What exactly can the free invited parent do?
- View the calendar and respond to change requests — approve or decline. Everything else is view-only: they cannot edit the schedule, change handoffs, add holiday rules, upload documents, or create sharing links.
- What happens if we stop paying?
- Your calendar keeps working on the Free plan. Nothing is deleted — the paid features simply stop until you upgrade again.
- Does the other parent have to cooperate?
- It helps, but it isn't required. You can run the calendar yourself and share a view-only link, and the change history records everything either way.
- Is this legal advice?
- No. Custody Captain records and displays the schedule you enter. Always follow your parenting plan or court order.
